Shades of Blue: V-Zine by Vibezeen

The first zine by Vibezeen is a photography-themed DIY album, clipping together the different shades and moods of “blue phrases” in English.

While we’ve all read or browsed through magazines at some time or the other, it’s the younger cousin “Zine” (pronounced as “zeen”) that’s not quite known to many. Magazine is a periodical publication that is mass-produced and distributed, whereas a zine is a self-published original work. The first magazine, “Erbauliche Monaths-Unterredungen” (“Edifying Monthly Discussions”), was published periodically between 1663 and 1668 by German theologian Johann Rist. However, the first widely recognized zine is believed to be “The Comet,” a science fiction fanzine published by the Science Correspondence Club in Chicago in 1930. Self-expression, creativity and fun make the essence of zines. My first zine is a photography-themed DIY album, clipping together the different shades and moods of “blue phrases” in English.
