Chokers in Boho & Classy Designs

Chokers have made a comeback with a bang. From runways to high street fashion and wedding festivities, these classy neckpieces have become the favourites of style divas in town.

Prakshi Sharma, Creative Head & Designer, Prakshi Fine Jewellery, says: “Chokers are quite in vogue and are preferred by women who like to make a distinct statement at parties and weddings. Single-line jadau choker in polki or kundan will be best for the wedding day. Multi-layer chokers, embellished with diamonds and colored gemstones, look gorgeous on young ladies. For western outfits, a thin leather choker embellished with solitaires or white Swarovski crystals are great option that boasts of contemporary style statement. Dainty open collar chokers with Swarovski or colored gemstone embellishments give seamless styling essence with western outfits like pant suits or shift dresses.”

Shehzad Zaveri, Creative Director at Minawala, suggests: “Choker studded with ethereal south sea pearls, diamonds and rubies or emeralds is a great choice to complement any ensemble – be it contemporary, modern or traditional wear. Diamond chokers can be teamed with whatever you wear, whether it’s low-cut blouses or Anarkali gowns.”

Gold plated, pearls and polka jewellery are the buzzword with traditional dresses these days. For girlie fun, you have large hoops and geometric earrings. Ace up your oomph quotient by wearing a pair of edgy oversized earcuff-danglings for the bachelorette. A must try, especially for besties and sisters gang!

“It is very important to choose the right jewellery for all the occasions at your loved one’s wedding. To start with Mehendi, one can opt for chandbalis in uncut polkis and pearls. These are timeless and effortlessly complement traditional outfits, be it palazzos sets or embroidered anarkalis. For cocktail parties, give a classic touch to your western gowns with statement ear jackets or earcuffs studded in white diamonds. Even big hoops can render an affluent look when worn with western outfits. For weddings, if one is opting for lehanga cholis, it is recommended to go for heavy chandelier earrings embellished with diamonds and colored gemstones like rubies, emeralds or sapphires. For those wearing shararas, go for beautiful head adornments like chunky jhoomers crafted in pearls and polkis teamed with bold ear studs and keeping neck free from heavy jewellery,” advises Prakshi.

Stacked Finger Rings & Statement Bracelets

If you always envied the crystal ball fortuneteller for her stacked finger rings and bracelets, it’s your time! Stacked rings, mid rings, knuckle rings and a ring for all your fingers!! This look will rock for Sangeet, cocktail and bachelorette.

When stacked earrings are here, how can statement bracelets be far behind! For a classy look, Shehzad suggests “Chic palm cuffs, graciously designed in white or rose gold and embellished with gleaming diamonds that can instantly uplift the glam quotient.”

“Tennis bracelets, crafted in white gold with white diamonds, give a stunning look when worn with western gowns. Textured and edgy handcuffs, crafted in yellow gold or bold handcuffs in white gold with colored gemstone embellishments, render an affluent touch to the traditional outfits at weddings. Also, bracelets or handcuffs with filigree motifs make for a flawless style statement, says Prakshi.

Boho, rebellious and edgy. Or Cute, delicate and sexy. Whatever be your style mantra, nose jewellery is definitely the accessory of the moment. So much so that many women who had earlier shunned the idea of nose ring in the past have now gone ahead and posted #pierced images on their social media page! Also, with convenient clip-ons available in a variety of options, there’s ample choice for those of who are nervous about piercing.

Beaded, floral, crystal engraved, diamond studded or simple hoops… you can pick a couple of them for different festivities. If you are someone who doesn’t like to change the nose piece so often, then buy a versatile one which will go well with different looks.

Well ladies, to round it up, it’s not the size but the boldness and confidence of your bling statement that matters the most.
