This wedding season, designer label Asha Gautam launched their latest line of Anarkalis and Shararas. The duo showcased the grandeur of the celebrations in a voluminous fashion.
The wedding collection by the designer duo is a mélange of traditional handloom weaves of the country. Bandhani blends in with Kanjeevaram and Banarasi is juxtaposed with Bandhani. Heavy embroidery has been used to embellish the kurtas and anarkalis.
Adding a dash of warmth to the wedding festivities are the vibrant colours in silks and organzas. You can choose to make a distinct style statement adorning Bandhani-Kanjeevaram shararas paired with embroidered kurta or Banarasi and Bandhani set. For a jaw-dropping look, pick the awe-inspiring Paithani anarkalis. The flared and heavy embroidery alonwith motifs and abstract geometrics have a mesmerizing appeal. “At Asha Gautam, we are continuously working on more silhouettes and styles using our rich textiles.”We have worked very hard over the past two years to reengineer Indian weaves to create a more evolved look,” designer Gautam Gupta says.
